Firmware and Embedded Software Engineer for one of our Clients

One of our clients, RealSense, an Israeli spin-off of Intel’s pioneering depth-sensing division, helps shape the future of computer vision and AI, by developing advanced 3D imaging technologies that power robotics, biometrics, and spatial computing around the world. RealSense is looking for a skilled and experienced Firmware and Embedded Software Engineer, who will be responsible for developing and optimizing low-level software and firmware for cutting-edge depth sensing, computer vision, robotics and AI technologies. You will work closely with hardware, software, and algorithm teams to bring innovative sensing solutions to life.

This role is a hybrid work model based in the Haifa office, with onsite presence of 4 days a week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for RealSense depth and vision products
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new platforms and sensors
  • Implement and optimize drivers and middleware for real-time performance
  • Conduct system-level debugging and performance tuning
  • Support firmware integration with host-side software stacks
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration processes

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware/software development
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
  • Experience with RTOS or bare-metal firmware development
  • Strong debugging skills using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  • Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and other low-level protocols
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

 

Preferred (Advantageous) Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux kernel development, including writing or modifying kernel drivers
  • Familiarity with camera/image sensor interfaces (e.g., MIPI CSI)
  • Knowledge of depth sensing, computer vision, or 3D imaging technologies
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M or Cortex-A architectures
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Contributions to open-source embedded or Linux kernel projects
