Legal and Privacy Counsel - Israel based

AKT is looking for a Legal & Privacy Counsel professional.
The Legal Counsel & Privacy will be responsible for handling the company’s commercial, employment, and data protection legal matters, reporting to the COO. This individual will provide practical and comprehensive legal support across clients' engagements, partnerships, employment matters and internal operations with a strong focus on contract drafting, negotiation, and contractual data privacy compliance. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in commercial law, corporate governance, data protection regulations, and employment law, preferably within a professional services or technology environment environment.
This position will be reporting to AKT’s COO, and is open to candidates based in Israel. It offers flexibility for a part-time role and working in a hybrid work structure.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including Professional Services (PSA/MSA), SOW, Data Privacy (DPA), employment agreements, and consulting agreements

Manage contractual data protection and privacy matters, including DPAs, GDPR addenda, SCCs, and customer-specific privacy terms

Support responses to customer legal and data protection questionnaires in coordination with internal stakeholders

Provide ongoing legal support to HR on employment-related matters, policies, and agreements

Review vendor agreements and support procurement-related legal matters

Maintain and update contract templates and internal legal documentation

Defining and maintaining internal policies and procedures to establish compliance with local and international laws and regulations

Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate their impact to the company

Liaise with external legal counsel when required for specific matters
Job Requirements:
-
A Bachelor's law degree from a leading academic faculty, and qualification to practice law

4+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house counsel role

Hands-on experience with commercial contracts and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) – mandatory

Relevant experience working in Professional Services, SaaS or technology environments – an advantage

Proficient in applying legal knowledge and analytical abilities to address business issues and aid in decision-making

Strong writing, drafting, and negotiation skills

Excellent Hebrew and English - verbal and written. Other languages are an advantage
