Operational Project Management / PMO - Czech based

As one of the largest SAP Cloud People Solutions consulting firms in the EMEA region, AKT is hiring a Project Management Officer (PMO) to work in alliance with Project Managers in the delivery of SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects.

Reporting to the Project Management Officer Team Lead, this role is open to candidates living in Czech Republic.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective support to Project Managers (PM) and project teams during the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and control project performance and deliverables against time, cost, and quality
  • Ensure project plans are created and maintained up to date
  • Manage project’s open issues and proactively follow-up activities, ensuring required results and deadlines are met
  • Control project budget, track project cost effectiveness, raise red flags to PM as required, work in alliance with PM to execute mitigation plans, report on budget status to management providing insightful and up to date information on the status background
  • Control resources utilization and assignment ensuring sufficient and fitting resources are booked in advance and reporting on expected future resource plans, aligned with the resource strategy and plan defined by the PM
  • Verify project routines are maintained and proactively coordinate required project activities with internal and external resources as required
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring tasks are closed and progressing in the right direction and communicate with PM / raise red flags as required
  • Prepare all relevant documentation to monitor and report the progress of the project and milestones to stakeholders  
  • Ensure project is managed in line with AKT project management methodologies and internal procedures
  • Work closely with excellent cooperation and coordination with the project manager to support the project management activities
  • Work proactively and independently under the project framework and the AKT methodologies and guidelines
  • Stand-in for project managers with customer facing activities when required
  • From time to time, manage spot projects end to end

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a PMO / project manager
  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field
  • Professional presentation and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent English - verbal and written
  • Strong action management capability
  • Experience working in global companies
  • Experience in implementing ERP / CRM cloud-based solutions - an advantage
  • Living and qualified to work in Czech Republic
  • Professional ability in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, MS-Project, Word, PPT)
