AKT is looking for an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant to lead and deliver end-to-end payroll implementations for global clients. The role spans design, configuration, integration, testing, parallel runs, go-live and hypercare across multiple country payrolls. You will work alongside Employee Central, Time, Benefits and Finance workstreams, and act as the trusted payroll subject-matter expert for both business stakeholders and project teams. 

 

This is a full-time position, working hybrid mode and open to candidates located in Kolkata, India. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Delivery: Lead the end-to-end implementation of Employee Central Payroll across one or more countries, from blueprint through to post go-live support 

  • Requirements: Gather, analyze and document payroll requirements; translate business processes into ECP design specifications and configuration workbooks 

  • Configuration: Configure ECP including wage types, schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), payroll constants, processing classes, evaluation classes and country-specific functions 

  • IntegrationDesign and implement Point-to-Point (P2P) replication between Employee Central and ECP, including employee master data, organizational assignments, recurring/non-recurring payments, and cost center replication 

  • Posting & Outputs: Configure third-party payroll posting to SAP S/4HANA or external Finance systems, bank file generation (DME), and statutory output for the relevant country 

  • TestingPrepare and execute unit, system, integration, parallel and UAT test cycles; reconcile parallel payroll results against the legacy system and resolve variances 

  • CutoverPlan and execute payroll cutover, including data migration, opening balances (year-to-date and tax balances), and dry-run/mock payroll exercises 

  • HypercareProvide hypercare support post go-live, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, performance tuning and knowledge transfer to the client support team 

  • ComplianceApply SAP HRSP/CLC patches, validate legal change notes, and manage the impact on existing configuration and custom rules 

  • SpecificationsAuthor functional specifications for any RICEFW objects (custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows) and partner with ABAP developers on build 

  • EnablementCoach junior consultants and client team members; conduct workshops, walkthroughs and formal training sessions 

 

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or a related discipline 

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP Payroll experience (SAP HCM Payroll and/or Employee Central Payroll) 

  • At least 2 full-cycle Employee Central Payroll implementations as a lead or senior consultant 

  • Strong working knowledge of UK and/or Spain country payroll on ECP  

  • SAP Certified Application Associate — SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (current version preferred) -a must 

  • Demonstrable experience with Point-to-Point replication, BIB (Business Integration Builder) and middleware concepts 

  • Proficiency in writing and debugging Schemas and PCRs, and analyzing payroll logs 

  • Experience with full project lifecycle methodologies — SAP Activate, Agile and waterfall 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Multi-country payroll exposure across two or more regions (EMEA, APAC, Americas), with UK and/or Spain as a strong advantage 

  • Experience migrating from legacy payroll platforms (UKG/Kronos, ADP, Workday, Oracle) to ECP 

  • Exposure to S/4HANA HCM for SAP S/4HANA on-premise (the H4S4 model) and the long-term roadmap to ECP 

  • Experience with SAP Joule, AI-assisted HR processes or modern intelligent automation in payroll operations 

  • Pre-sales experience — solutioning, effort estimation and response to RFPs and RFIs
